The Voice Over the Waters (1/13/19)
A part of this message is a call to be careful and discerning about the things we may read or hear. Facebook, social media, meme's etc.. But sometimes people will even misuse or misapply Scripture. It's important for each of us to know God's Word so that we are not misled. The rest of the message is about what God really said about the struggles, pain, and hardships of this life. God does not say that He will not give you more than you can handle. But rather "Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you." Not if, but WHEN, you go through the dark places and times of your life God is with you. When you yourself can't go on God is there to carry you through. "Because you are precious in my eyes, and honored, and I love you," God loves you and is with you and will never leave you. You are precious so do not fear what life throws at you. In your baptism, you have been united with Christ your Redeemer! Jesus says that " In this life, you will have trouble, but take heart I have overcome the world" We cannot overcome but Christ has overcome it all for us. So fear not for He is ever and always with you!

    Promises Kept (12/30/18)
We focus on who Jesus truly is, not the various versions that the world embraces, but the real Jesus as revealed to us in Holy Scripture! As we welcome a new year let us live our lives and do all that we can in word and deed to reveal the Way, the Truth, and the Life to a lost and confused world.

The King Shall Come to Bring Us Hope (12/2/18)
The side effects of sin and the cure for sin, death, and the power of the Devil.  In JESUS we are cured. We receive the forgiveness of sins, become children of God who are no longer under the power of the evil foe, and we have the promise of eternal life.  On that last day, we will stand Holy and Blameless before the Judge of all mankind. We then reflected about the side effects of our salvation in Christ.  Namely, Love, it is out of love that we strive to live holy lives, share the gospel and help others.
