Guiding Principles of Hope
Lutheran Church1) We believe, teach
and confess the historic teaching of the Scripture, as
understood by the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.
2) We are called to bear witness to Christ, locally and
globally, as individuals and as a congregation.
3) Within the boundaries of Lutheran theology and the
tolerance of our congregation's people, ministry and worship
practices can be flexible.
4) We practice "safe church principles" throughout our
organization.
5) We esteem marriage, family, and children, highly.
We follow the Community Marriage Policy.
6) We evaluate our congregation every other year so that we
might be as effective as possible in Gospel ministry.
Our Mission Statement
At the core of our congregation is our Mission Statement:
“Hope Lutheran Church exists
to bring people to faith in Jesus Christ
and develop our lives as His disciples.”
Those words, adapted form the Lord’s command in Matthew 28, form
a purpose and focus for all we are and all we do. We invite you
to connect with the Lord Jesus and walk with Him in
discipleship, be that at Hope or another congregation of your
choice. |
